Spend a month visiting the north, ancient cities, tea fields and both coasts. The route includes Wilpattu and Yala safaris, with extra days to rest.

| 5 | Explore Anuradhapura | Visit selected parts of the ancient city, including Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanwelisaya. The sites are spread out, so use your vehicle between stops and take breaks in the shade. Dress respectfully for the sacred areas. | Anuradhapura |
| 6 | Anuradhapura → Jaffna | Continue north to Jaffna. Leave the day mainly for the journey and check into your hotel on arrival. If you feel like going out, take a short walk and try a local meal near your stay. | Jaffna |
| 7 | Explore Jaffna | Visit Nallur Kandaswamy Temple and Jaffna Fort, with time for the market streets and local food. Follow temple dress rules and leave space between visits rather than rushing through the city. | Jaffna |
| 8 | Jaffna Peninsula | Use the extra day to see more of the peninsula with your driver. Visit a few villages or coastal viewpoints, stopping for local food along the way. You can also stay in town if you would prefer a quieter day. | Jaffna |

| 26 | Galle at Leisure | Spend another day around Galle without changing hotels. Return to the fort for a slower walk, stop at a cafe or visit nearby Unawatuna. Keep the day flexible so you can rest between outings. | Galle |

Planning notes
This route includes 29 hotel nights and private road transfers. It adds Wilpattu and extra nights to the 24-day route, keeping the north early in the journey. The Jaffna to Trincomalee drive still needs most of a day. Discuss the two coastal stays for your travel month. Confirm train services, safari access and any optional activity costs before booking. Animal sightings depend on the day. Allow a generous buffer for the airport transfer on Day 30.
